AURA STUDIO 2 is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Speaker - need some tweaks Just received my unit today. I have a studio about 400 sq ft and it's more than enough to fill the room. This is a great fit for someone with open floor plan because sound can travel 360 w/ no distortion. Unlike the Aura plus, this one does not support airplay, wifi, etc. only Aux and bluetooth. no remote - all as expected. The good: Connected to my echo via bluetooth. was a little worried that the unit will go to sleep automatically after 10 minutes of no input but thank goodness it doesn't turn off completely. Once I spoke to the echo the speaker came right back on. Safe to say I could still use it as an alarm via Echo with no issue. Couple of things that I think could improve: 1. in certain songs it seems to be making this popping noise in the low range. Very annoying. I googled it and others seem to have similar issues. Please let me know if this is a known product flaw or if I have a defective unit) 2. the responsive ambient light does not "respond" to the rhythm of the music. The light moves at its own pace and never stops moving when it's on even if the music has stopped which I find a bit off. If HK could make two ON mode - "responsive" or stable - it would be a lot better for me personally. Can't speak to durability yet but overall I find this speaker enjoyable so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It shuts down and doesn't got up. I'm a big fan of HK, I bought a SoundStick a long time a go and they were simply the best, unfortunately I broke them by accident and I felt it was time to get something new and I decided to go for the Aura Studio 2, they are connected to the TV through an audio cable as I did with my old SoundSticks. After a while if the TV is on mute the Aura shuts itself down, now when I unmute the TV they just don't come up to live again. The same happens when I shutdown the TV and then turn it on they just wont start up until I go right next to the set and push the power button, so I can use my TV remote to turn my TV on and off, but I do have to go all the way to the Aura to turn them on and it's kind of annoying. I couldn't find in the user's manual nothing about turn this "power savings" feature off so I can use them as my old SoundSticks. Another annoying thing is that when I got a new message on my iPhone they connect themselves to the Auras and stop whatever music movie I was listening on them for about 5 seconds, when the sound finally returns its volume its fixed on the iPhone volume instead of the original volume I've set for the TV. I find myself in the position to turn the Aura 2 BT off but noticed that I don't even know how to do it or if its possible, so I had to "unrecognized" the Aura on my iPhone and all the other products they use and then reconnect them when I want to use them. Is there any solution to any of this problems? Thanks

Does the Aura 2 have a rechargeable battery this time?

Asked by: denerrn
The Aura Studio 2 does not.. added a few little things and an ambient light, beside the awesome improved sound quality.. however, sadly, no mine is wall power only or inverter in the car for the outdoors camping and whatnot. Hope this helps. ;)

Hi my aura studio 2 does not have the light button that this manual shows, therefore I can't control the ambient light very well, only the LED ring work in mine and I can't figure how to turn the other ligjts on,the ones in the turbine.help pls.

The speaker makes a weird popping noise in a certain range (not all songs but for every song that has sound in that range). It's enough to make me worry especially when some other ppl on youtube had similar experience. Is this a known product flaw? Thanks

Is there a way to turn off the power savings to keep them on? I have them hooked to my TV and they don't come up alive when I turn the TV on. Also, I have them connected to my iPhone and they "auto connect" all the time pausing the current TV audio.
